Passive and active safety features in passenger cars
Jahoda, Patrik ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with safety elements of all kinds in personal vehicles and their general introduction. This elements are divided and broadened and roughly described. My work contains short summary of history of safety elements. Conclusion contains evaluation of individual elements. Video with crash test is inserted in this graduate work.
Automated Design of Screwed Grating Made of Galvanized Pipes
Hůlka, Radek ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is analyzing problematics of designing screwed grating made of galvanized pipes and fittings. The main goal is to study the problems of designing screwed grating and similar problems. Then continues with description of the algorithm design, its implementation and testing.
Chassis Electrical Systems
Slaběňák, Patrik ; Kuchyňková, Hana (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Travelling by bus is very extended in present and safety return home is a wish of every passenger. Outcome of this bachelor work is a survey of the most used stability systems, used in cars and facilitating the work of drivers in critic situations. Among others, this work contains the survey of powers acting on a vehicle during the ride. This powers influence impending slippery road on aggravated adhesive conditions. Individual systems are described attentively and supplemented by illustrating pictures, which near this issue and facilitate the real idea of functionality. At the conclusion of this work is mentioned the theoretical suggestion for practical exercising of a subject automobile electrotechnics and also a referring is mentioned to my continuation in this dissertation.
Race Car Passive Safety
Schultz, Richard ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This work presents all kinds of passive safety currently used in motorsport. It deals with their development, use, materials from which the element is made, the actual production and testing, irrespective of the particular category of motorsport. I tried to clarify the various elements in terms of function, what lies in their uniqueness and thus differ from those used for passive safety in passenger cars. Although the job title is Race cars passive safety, I mentioned in it about driver protective clothing as one of the elements to protect his life in case of emergency. Gradually, I deal with various aspects of security from leading to an accident as the first show its functionality to features such as fireproof clothing, seeking to mitigate the consequences of an accident.
Comprehensive System for Road Accident Analysis - Collision Between Vehicle and Motorcycle
Slepánek, Petr ; Kolíbal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Drahotský, Ivo (referee) ; Kropáč, František (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This dissertation describes the issue of a complex system for analyzing the collision of a motorcycle with another vehicle and suggests a suitable methodology for solving this type of traffic accident. It summarizes the current knowledge in the field of motorcycle accidents withother vehicles, including their statistics and categorization. The author statistically evaluates accidents by their causes and proposes a methodology for solving individual types of motorcycle collisions with vehicles. To supplement and refine the input data for the analysis of road accidents involving motorcycles, a set of author’s own measurements made on different types of motorcycles is included. The thesis contains measurements of their acceleration, deceleration and avoidance maneuvers. Other actual contributions of the thesis are represented also by flowcharts, offering a comprehensive approach to solving individual types of colissions of motorcycles with other vehicles.
Design of rear bumper for passenger car
Tomeš, Jan ; Strecker, Zbyněk (referee) ; Klapka, Milan (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with search about passenger car bumpers. It focuses especially on RCAR crash tests and currently used constructions of bumpers. There is suggested concept of rear bumper based on findings from the search. The concept was modeled on design study of Swell Company’s car.
The Influence of Modern Passive Safety Features in the Protection of a Vehicle's Occupants
Vostrejž, Jan ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
Thesis in the field of passive safety problems, traffic accidents and health outcomes of participants in road traffic accidents is aimed, inter alia, to create an overview of modern passive safety elements especially cars. The work deals with elements of the passive safety system and the impact on the crew vehicle. It describes the principle of operation, especially airbags, safety belts, belt pretensioner and it includes solution of limiters tensioning force in the safety belt and other elements that have the task of reducing the consequences of a traffic accident. The use of modern elements of passive safety provides increased protection for the crew and eliminates the formation injuries crew. The technical issue is therefore closely related to the healthcare industry and in particular the Court of medicine in the field of personal injury in relation to the types and characters of incidents, or by applying of the safety elements. There are also shown the actual road accidents in which were killed or injured members of crew with an analysis of the mechanism of injury with the use or non-use of safety elements.
The concept for passive cooling of the VVER-1000 reactor
Lamoš, Pavel ; Suk, Ladislav (referee) ; Martinec, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the design of passive cooling system for a nuclear reactor VVER- 1000.This type of reactor is located in the Czech Republic in the location of Nuclear power plant Temelín. The thesis states an overview of the different cooling systems of nuclear power plants. The thesis is focused on passive safety system especially on passive cooling system, so there was done an overview of currently used passive safety system. In the work is discussed nuclear safety and the maximum projected accident of VVER-1000, which is called LOCA accident. In the design part of the thesis was done thermal calculation of heat exchangers. Exchangers are designed as condensers with a natural flow, where cooling of system is provided by outside airflow in case an accident. The results are evaluated at the end of the thesis.
Vehicle Passive Safety Systems
Jelínek, Adam ; Rozsíval, Jan (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis of research nature deals with detailed description of passive safety features in modern cars and with characterization of these features in relation to electric and autonomous cars. Detailed structural and material description of car’s crumple zones and safety cage with description of car’s restraint systems is supplemented with historic background on development of these features. Final part of thesis gives reader an idea of application and necessary changes of these features when used on electric or autonomous cars.
Design of strain gauge devices for safety belts load measuring
Lontras, Martin ; Jebáček, Ivo (referee) ; Mališ, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design, produce and experimentally verified measuring device for measuring force in seatbelt, by using strain gages. First are discussed possibilities of measuring force by using device placed in between two parts of seat belt or in anchor point. These suggestions were not accepted for various reasons. Therefore is further described girder, which belt slightly deflected so that part of the load is transferred to the strain gauge measuring element. As default concept is choosen aluminum U-profile, in which is placed measuring mechanism. There are performed calculations of basic geometry and stress control. Then is described manufacturing and calibration on universal testing machine. In conclusion is realized measuring of the force in seat belt, which is loaded by shock force, occasioned by dropping weights from a certain height, which simulates the behavior of the belt and gauge during a crash test.
